Listen up, you young whippersnappers. This “Spirit of Riven Reputation” thing, it’s got everyone in a tizzy. People keep jabberin’ about it, but nobody seems to know what’s what. I heard tell it’s somethin’ in that fancy-schmancy “Dreaming City” place.

Now, from what I gather, you gotta open chests, right? Chests full of goodies, like they used to have at the county fair. But these ain’t filled with blue ribbons or stale popcorn. They got this “reputation” stuff in ’em. And you need a whole heap of it, seems like.

  • Open chests, they say.
  • Get reputation.
  • Easy peasy, lemon squeezy, right?

But then folks start whinin’ ’bout how they ain’t gettin’ no progress. Their little reputation bar ain’t movin’ an inch. And then they start askin’ about a “season pass.” Season pass, my foot! Back in my day, you didn’t need no fancy pass to get what you earned. You worked for it, simple as that.

They say this “Spirit of Riven” business is tied to somethin’ called “Episode: Revenant.” Sounds like one of them soap operas my grandkids watch. Always some new episode, some new fangled drama. But this “Revenant” fella, he’s in the “Last City,” wherever that is. City folks, always makin’ things complicated.

And then there’s this “Final Wish” quest. A wish, eh? Be careful what you wish for, I always say. Apparently, you gotta find it in the Dreaming City and then go see some gal named Mara. She’s in somethin’ called the “HELM.” Sounds like a helmet, for protectin’ your noggin. Maybe you need one, with all this confusing reputation stuff flyin’ around.

Now, this Mara, she’ll give you another quest, “Wishing All The Best.” Wishin’ ain’t gonna get you nowhere, I tell ya. You gotta put in the elbow grease. But seems like this quest is the key to unlockin’ somethin’, gettin’ you into a new area or somethin’.

And once you’re in, you gotta go to this “vendor” and claim your rewards. Sounds like a market stall to me. But ‘stead of sellin’ fresh eggs and homemade pies, this vendor’s got “powerful engrams” and “shaders” and “upgrade modules” and “prisms.” Fancy names for who-knows-what.

Honestly, it’s all a bunch of rigmarole. All this talk of reputation and wishes and vendors… it’s enough to make your head spin. Back in my day, you knew where you stood. You helped your neighbor, you worked hard, and your reputation spoke for itself. No fancy quests or passes needed.

But I guess times are different now. So, if you want to get this “Spirit of Riven Reputation,” you better listen to them city folk and their fancy talk. Open them chests, find that Mara, claim your rewards. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if it all turns out to be a load of hogwash.
