Once you’re done with that, you end up in some saloon place. Now, don’t get distracted by the fancy drinks and whatnots. You’re here for business, remember? Gotta go back to the main menu. Yeah, yeah, I know, seems silly, but that’s how they set it up. From there, find the “Co-Op” button. Big ol’ button, can’t miss it. Click on that, then hit “Host.” Boom, you made yourself a room. Like hostin’ a party, but for shootin’ monsters instead of eatin’ cake.

Finish the tutorial.
Go back to the main menu.
Click “Co-Op.”
Click “Host.”

Now, this is the important part. You gotta get your friends in, right? So, they gotta be online, obviously. Can’t invite nobody if they ain’t around. Once they’re on, you go to the pause menu. Don’t ask me why it’s in the pause menu, makes no sense to me, but that’s where it is. Look for “Session Settings.” Sounds fancy, but it’s just where you invite folks. Then, in the corner, there’s a little prompt thing. Click it. Should bring up your friends list.

From the Saloon, pause the game.

Go to “Session Settings.”

Click the prompt in the bottom right corner.

Now, you pick the friends you wanna play with. Click their names, send ’em an invite. Hopefully, they ain’t busy doing chores and can join ya. Then you’re all set. Ready to go shoot some baddies together. Simple as that.

If you don’t got no friends, or they’re all busy milkin’ cows or somethin’, there’s this “random matchmaking” thing. Means you play with strangers. Could be fun, could be a disaster. You never know what you’re gonna get. Also, heard tell there’s this Discord thing where you can find folks to play with. Sounds complicated to me, but if you’re tech-savvy, go for it.

They say you can play by yourself too, control all the fellas in the squad. But what’s the fun in that? Better with friends, sharing the loot and whatnot. Makes it more lively.
